UCC to Host Grand Opening Event for Remodeled Truck Driving School

Umpqua Community College has completed an extensive remodel of its Truck Driving School. The reimagined facility enhances the educational experience for aspiring commercial drivers needed to fill local jobs and provides a center for continued growth of the program.

Over 220 Students Discover Future Opportunities at UCC Healthcare Career Day

Highschool students from across Douglas County gathered for a full day of sampling a variety of careers in healthcare, in Jacoby Auditorium, Health Nursing and Science Center (HNSC), and the Tech Center, EMS program area.

Student Pathway to Healthcare Occupations Provided through $1M Grant and UCC, Aviva Health Partnership

A new program stemming from a partnership between Umpqua Community College and Aviva Health – with funding from a $1,007,226 grant from the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) – will empower students interested in health care careers while addressing the need for local health care workers.
